When I see or hear something that touches my mind I see in my mind a complete picture of a work  that I want to do.

When working at my best my hands are tingling, it's like I'm caressing the clay, working it to the form I want it to be and it feels like energy is flowing from my hands to the near finished piece of work.

At this moment I'm mostly working on ceramic-glass sculptures, but I also do use wood, iron and stone in my works or all of them at the same one if they create a compatible entity.

Maybe the focus of my works is exactly to use different materials and combine the different materials together. I'm fascinated by how different materials promote each other and together form a new and interesting entity. The pictures and shapes that pop up to my mind are always combinations of two or more different materials.

Hard materials are usually balanced by soft and round shapes that are often also oriented towards the sky.

At this moment I can't even imagine that I would do sculptures without glass.

Glass is an extremely intriguing material. Bright, fragile but also hard. Colorful, colorless, transparent and impervious. The beauty of glass is timelessness.
